So here it is, going on two decades past vintage of a wine most found a mixture of odd but good or just odd. Happy to report that, in its full maturity, while it still can be accused of a stern finish, it turns out very much odd-but-wow in fact. This is serious stuff and it gets you thinking. A wake-up to taste as well

As others have noted, must be decanted and given plenty of time for aeration. With this careful treatment, it loses its shocking sour overtone and instead turns relatively mild and complex. One fault I found was it was rather light-bodied and could have used a bit more structure to allow for the unusual flavor profile. Enjoy it now, not later.

Nose: eucalyptus, roses, and menthol / nail polish remover. Taste: prickly acid, tart cherry, cinnamon. Very thick mouthfeel. Overall, it's.. interesting, but rather flawed, by what I'm guessing is significant VA/ethyl acetate, which covers up much of the aroma/flavor. Suitable only for wine geeks.
