WSET Level 2 Class; 9/13/2018-11/4/2018 (The Texas Wine School): Very good quality Champagne that is clear, medium lemon in color. On the nose, it's clean with a medium intensity. It has aromas and flavors of green apple, pear, starfruit, peach, line, tropical fruits, almond, biscuit dough, toast, and some minerality. On the palate, it's dry with high acidity, full body, and a long finish.
This Champagne has clearly sat on the lees for several years, giving a wonderful amount of creamy and doughy textures, flavors, and aroma! Good acidity and minerality makes this wine extremely refreshing!

1971 Piemonte Dinner (Marcel's, Washington, D.C.): Disgorged July, 2006. Some browning, minimal mousse. Definitely old Chamapagne-nutty, oxidative, heavy for Blanc de Blancs.

More complex oaky/leesy flavours than the Millenaire.
