Felt a little over the hill, muted fruit, not much giving in the nose. I guess this was getting long in the tooth and I would move the drinking window to the next 6 months.

No structural defects, this wine smells of fresh plums, sweet tarts and alcohol/paint thinner. It has maturing flavors of ripe plums, dried cherry and asphalt. Not a bad wine for $15, but not a stunner either.

Good effort from Wilson on this bottle, anyway. Greeness not evident, fresh zin berry fruit, nose a bit muted. Probably not enough stuffings to age more than another 12 months.

Actually a pretty mediocre bottle. Not sure that I am sold on Wilson zins. Notes are similar to my previous but this bottle had more green to it than I remember and felt underripe. Not bell pepper per se, just a green flavor that should have been replace by a wintergreen or berry zest for a really good zin.
