Started out decent for a few minutes, but then evolved into a sour wine that none of us could get over. Had a good aged color, but this possible had something to do with the extra time on the Lees. Possibly a flawed bottle but nothing seemed wrong with it otherwise.

Oxidized. Starts out right from the bottle with fruit and lemons, but after a minute it goes through ripe pear and straight into oxidation. Put the cork back in and left alone for a week, just to see if it improves. Will update if it gets better.

I thought this was nice and fairly textbook Puligny, if not deserving some of the very high scores I have seen. More on the biscuit side with a nice finish if not especially long.

At the Eatery: Blind: Expressive nose with pleasant reduction--saline aspect, melon, ripe lemon and white peach; zippy acidity, great structure, and a touch of lemon curd, showing delicate oak notes a bit more as it warmed up. Fantatic length very precise but not lean, a really great wine. 92+
