Vibrant, fresh and crisp, peppery, smoked red, black, and blue fruits are all over the place here on the nose, accompanied by dried flowers, pepper, mesquite, and Indian spices, and on the full-bodied, concentrated, zesty palate. The finish, with its olive and paprika-tinged red berry character, goes on and on. Drink from 2022-2032.

Absolute knock out - privileged to have tried it at a friend’s birthday. Jeff Leve’s note below say it all. Powerful and fitting accompaniment to picanha and rib roast. Mature and stunning, yet it should drift to an even higher sublime plane if you have a few more year’s patience to see what it’s like at age 35+ as it certainly has the stuffing.

M&PD Zoom night. Blind tasting of the following wines:
2013 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2011 Coche-Dury Meursault Domaine et Selection 2007 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet 1995 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve 1989 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hommage à Jacques Perrin 1989 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve
This was my contribution to the night and it was also my favorite red. I believe it was everyone's favorite. This was sadly my only bottle (although I notice Eric still has three . . . hmmmm . . .), as this is one of the best bottles of CdP I've ever had. Look at Eric's note. It had everything. I need to find more at a reasonable price. Probability = 0
Here are my real time notes:
has classic cdp scent classic mourvèdre - heavy and dusty red fruit - sweet sappy palate herbs/scpice long finish cloudiness that i've have seen with beaucastel dryness and structure that makes this unique

M&PD Zoom Tasting: White Burgundy & Red CDP (Zoom): Smells very Beaucastel or Pegau. Cloudy. Wow, wow, wow. Pepper and intensity. Purity. Focus. Drive. Such a sweet, sappy, gorgeous core. Pine and pepper. Really delicious wine.

Ugh. Slightly elevated cork, heat damage. Down the drain.
