(Frédéric Lornet Arbois Nature) “Naturé” is the old Arbois name for the Savagnin grape; Lornet has made this Savagnin Ouillé for many years. The lemony color leads to a fresh, citrus nose with some minerality. On the full-bodied palate, the tangy acidity is followed by attractive, candied-lemon flavors. The dry, long finish has a hint of cracked black pepper. This wine is extremely versatile with food ranging from asparagus or other vegetarian dishes to soft cheeses, including goat cheese. Excellent food wine. Acidic enough with notes of lime and lemon. But enough fruit to keep it balanced. Not much pepper in the 2007 unless it's a mild pink pepper bit still quite faint.
