Straight cork but plenty of pressure, fully sparkling in the glass. Mid gold. Concentrated, rather creamy aroma, a little butterscotch, then coffee and citrus zest. Bright tangerine fruit flavour, quite structured, with mild salinity. Some maturity on the nose but a more youthful palate, this is holding up well. Pretty good the next day, with a lovely aroma of pear. A good producer in a middling vintage is usually a good bet. [Cork + cage; 12.5% abv; purchased at auction for £100 plus fees].

Mature and showing very well. Lovely rounded nose with white flowers and stone fruits. Quite a light mousse but it compliments the rounded mouth feel. Apricot and peach flavours. Very drinkable for now and a few more years.

Pol Roger Vintage 2000. Moden rik og deilig - ikke et snev av ox. Lettbeint mousse. Nydelige former - drikker perfekt nå. Ren, fyldig og elegant. Konsentrert og med god friskhet. Lang finish som brer seg godt ut. Herlig moden frukt i ettersmaken. 92-93p

Helt enkelt fantastisk. Åren har skapat en grym balans och komplexitet.
