The best pinot noir of 4 weeks casual drinking here. The 2007 has more depth and complexity than most other pinots, it has a European structure, a lot of petroleum on the nose, but beautifully mellowed tannins drinking at this age. A wine of real excellence and class. Without doubt the best Californian pinot I have tasted. Tasted in a restaurant in what became a different bottle per head!

Rich fruit and on the fuller end of the Pinot scale. Delicious with or without food. Opened up quickly

Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (San Francisco Wine Trading Company): Medium ruby. Brambly, smoky fruit. Medium weight, very different from the rest of the wines in being much more soil driven and featuring higher acidity. Very subtle and understated in this context.
