Popped and poured. Big wack of Botrytis on the nose. Full and round mouthfeel. Good acidity to balance generous honey and ripe tropical fruit flavors. Perhaps lacking a bit of precision but this was really delicious. I've recently come to the conclusion that I prefer dessert wine on the young side so I'd drink these now but they will age well too.

Full, powerful nose. Almost as dense as d'Yquem: Saffron, apricots, and botrytis. A bit less oaky. Very, very intense palate. Dense fruit. Apricots and botrytis. Intensely sweet and fullish with very good grip. Splendid. Tasted blind and compared to 4 other top Sauternes from 2008 we were not very good in determining the house style of the chateau's. I for one had never tasted Fargues. We were impressed by the persistence and fullness of this bottle. Will give immense pleasure in the future, and is delicious now as well.

Le Week-End des Grands Crus 2011 (Bordeaux): In the nose botrytis, some smoke, dried yellow fruit, honey. The nose improved in the glass. Sweet on the palate, very spicy, concentrated honey notes, dried yellow fruit, good acidity. The palate was better than the nose. 92-93 p?
