  • This bottle is clearly healthy, with a light and pleasant bouquet of lemon drop, vanilla and honey. But on the palate, while perfectly sound, it's just too old. I like 'em old, but the meager fruit was not enough to hold my interest and I poured the rest of the bottle down the drain.

  • Even the finest white Graves eventually fades gently into the night. The good news is that there is no trace of oxidation at age fourty. Some dried fruit (apricots, lemon peel, orange), just not enough. Good acidity. This must have been wonderful 20 years ago.

  • I want to love this wine, but I can't. It's a recent purchase from Acker retail. Fill to top shoulder (the lowest of the three in the parcel), capsule cut to confirm identity, very clean label. The cork was soft but came out in one piece, black on the top and moist throughout. No doubt it was the original cork and the bottle was well stored. The color was orange gold and there was a small bit of sandy brown sediment. Very faint scent of paraffin and orange peel. Clean but faded on the mid palate. The finish is quite tart with a lemon flavor. Still drinkable, but sadly, it's too old.

  • Consistent with previous tastings. Clean faint bouquet of oak and figs. Past its prime but still a decent drink.

  • Very light color for age. Chablis like nose. Somewhat watery. Just medium intensity. Definitely faded.
