Starting to drink well - dominated by bilberry (the Cabernet Franc?) and oaky vanilla but lots of complex layers underneath of chocolate and plums - good length to the finish - this wine has a wonderful future to it for at least 5-10 years - slightly less than I imagined when I first tasted this wine when it was a tannic beast a few years ago - there is still plenty of tannin but much more balanced now
Dark core, slight watery rim, nose of blackcurrant, spice, cedar, vanilla and menthol, lots going on! Full bodied on the palate with sweet blackcurrant, integrated tannins, spicy and peppery with. Long finish. Only doubt are flavours still quite linear so more time may integrate
