  • This is still in a good place, and in my view has 5 yrs easy to go. Heavy this became with age, but balanced and the 13.5% alc is in balance. Not the greatest of aged white burgundy, but still a very pleasant and unique experience!

  • Old fashioned oaky Meursault. Good bottles provide plenty of tertiary without the oxidation. Oak dominates with lots of pear, honey and white flowers. Palate dominated by the toasted wood and butter texture. Very ripe and the acid isn’t very high (although sharpness suggests it should be). Some prominent alcohol. Recent bottles have been the best and I would drink now to 2025, recorked bottles aren’t holding well. Works well with simple fish and white meat dishes. 92pts

  • Liked the elegancy brought by an aged white. Unfortunately this bottle was already off its peak and the fruitiness was almost all gone. Drink immediately if you still have some in your cellar.

  • Back on song after a maderised bottle. Honey, Acacia, peony tea, peach stone, flint, wet wool. Mid weight, rich, but with brilliant, balancing acidity. A reminder what fully mature white burgundy is like at its very best. Life-affirming, joyful wine. A delight to drink at a fair price.

  • Out of a six bottle case. The first one was singing. Still remarkably fresh, with delicious mature white burgundy character. Probably a 93. This bottle is definitely more oxidised, dark in colour, maderised nose. However, the freshness saves it. Curd, quince jelly, almond, lemon meringue, struck flint and baked apple. On the palate, mid weight, fresh, long and structured. Still great, just getting a bit tired.
