Tons of black and pixelated red fruit; anise, spicy tones and a hint of creamy chocolate. Attractive body and balance with an airy feel and extended finish. In the window and at peak.

Burgundy color with a muted bouquet and flavor of cherries, giving way to chokecherries, with some hints of toast, but no distinct Pinot Noir notes. The wine had generally good balance, but with modest body and little nuance. It also had a very short finish. I had great hopes for Charmes-Chambertin, and for Perrot-Minot, but was again disappointed. This wine was better than most Burgundies that I have tasted, but a sad comparison to Oregon and California wines. For those who prefer restrained wines, you should try Domaine Serene, and for more power, Aubert.

Nicely open, oak, driven notes of red fruit and a bit of earth. Great balance and charming texture.

(Mostly) Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Le Select - Chicago IL): More red than black fruit with spice notes and earth. Good+ weight and balance. A bit of new oak still protrudes on finish.

Juicy red and black fruit. Very fresh. Plenty of time left. Round and polished. Nothing wrong but lacking a little excitement.
