  • Fully mature with sweet ripe fruit. Good concentration and some complexity. Drinking really well now. Best to drink over the next few years probably. It has not really matured much since the last tasting so it may surprise us and go further than it seems like it should be able to

  • Outstanding dark earthy plum fruits. For those who like the older ones that they were refer to his dirty and earthy this will be right up your alley. Dark plum, dark cherry wet earth, prune but in a positive way. Drinks beautifully now. I would recommend consuming now and over the next couple of years. It will not get any better. It is really at peak

  • Wow! This is quite different from my last two tastings. unfortunately I forgot to do a note on the last tasting which was a couple of months ago. The last bottle I had had some tartness and acidity to it and that was overtaking the fruit. The last two bottles though were sourced long after they had been released and so I'm not sure how well the storage was. This bottle was bought upon release and well stored by me and the difference was painfully obvious. Dents concentrated with an explosive dark cherry tomato earthy bouquet. Medium to full-bodied concentrated and complex. Loads of earthy tomato dark cherry red berry ripe fruit. Very youthful primary fruit with a little bit of secondary flavors and notes. While it is still youthful it is starting to have a lot of acidity and tannins compared to the high levels of fruit. Based upon the fruit alone this one should age a long time but due to its high levels of tannin in acidity I'm concerned that they may take over the wine before the fruit fully matures. certainly enjoyable now and over the next few years I don't know if it can go longer than that. I would advise one to follow it regularly and better to drink it and it's youth then wait till it gets over the hill. Still quite an impressive showing for a Priorat

  • While this was quite good I do question if it might be a little bit of an off bottle or not. This one along with the 2004 version of it was a monster in its youth. Originally I predicted that this could go at least 20 years possibly 30. today's tasting has me concerned about that window drinkability. Acidity and tannins seemed just out of whack and somewhat at odds with the fruits. giving the impression that it may be starting to come unraveled or that the tannins May overwhelm the fruit. That being said they're still good fruit and it may come out of the stage or it could just be an off bottle. Even so, with this bottle it was enjoyable within 15 to 30 minutes of opening and several hours later it had seemed to me much more balanced and I flavors head turned more secondary. When first opened there was a lot of cherry tomato and earthiness. Several hours later it was more Smoky earthy. Needs to be retasted soon.

  • Surprisingly well balanced wine! Full bodied, red fruit, minerals, pepper, tobacco and new picture each hour. Should be decanted at least 2 hours.
