The night of the last bottles from six packs...this time from an auction six pack of dubious provenance. Cherry, leather, black fruit, plentiful oak and age...bit of theme based on previous recollections...fruit is quite burnt jam on the palate with more oak and alcohol warmth...hmm

Coravin fun - Token white and shiraz/syrah (My place, parramatta, sydney): From Coravin, quick note with supper. Muted black cherry and berry, pepper spice, leather, slight oxidation, slight oak water notes...little bit flabby and a bit warm on the back palate. Hmm.

Blackberry, chocolate, leather, vanilla and a tiny touch of oxidation. Lack of acidity was exposed against pasta and pesto with parmesan.

Oak water with blackcherry and berry fruits and a tiny touch of peppery spice. More of the same on the palate with fully resolved tannins. Okay.
