Small Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Dinner (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL): Popped-and-poured. Very ripe and lush, this comes across as very "1997" in that regard, but slightly older than I might have thought/ hoped. Sweet spice, braised meat notes, good+ fruit still hanging in there nicely. Best when first poured. Definitely time to drink up.

Popped and poured. Brick color, showing signs of maturity. Sweet stewy rubarb aromas. Delicate body yet shows big dark stewy red fruits with slight bitter finish. Enjoyable, but seeemd somewhat disjointed. Clearly improve with some air and time. Fully mature.

Pleasant aromas of dark cherry and spice. Medium body and earthy appeal with a dark spice. Mature, yet drinking well especially for a 1997.

Really good for the vintage. Usually a pretty hard wine but the vintage brought it down a bit to make it drinkable young.
