Taco Tuesday in the 'Knurd household, sautéing the meat and veggies in a ginger-curry oil, Riesling was the choice. Wasn't the best pairing (the weight and green-apple-chalk didn't seem to notice the curry) but also not the worst (acidity actually complemented the fresh tomatoes piled on top). Still drinking well and of course the value can't be beat!
I can't believe we're almost finished with these bottles - started with just a few and bought close to a case after we'd tried. This is a great QPR and an easy wine to serve with large groups. Was drinking a bit better last year than this year (crystallization of the sugar in the last few bottles we tried). Still, a bit of acidity to handle the sweetness and not overly done. Good value.
