Popped and Poured. Drank over 2 evenings. Rich and complex with gobs of dark fruit present. Showed definte signs of oxidation on the 2nd evening so I'd recommend putting these in your queue now (wish I had more).
Merlot gets a bad rap but CSM makes a great one. Infact - I wouldn't buy Merlot from anyone except a handful of WA producers. Awesome Merlot! And the vineyards of Canoe Ridge produce great grapes.
Deep purple color. Cherry, rose and light smoke on the nose. Black cherry, currant, vanilla and white pepper up front with coffee and chocolate wrapped in the silky tannins. This wine is still getting better and has some room to grow over the next few years.
