Decanted to serve. Rich and buttery with vanilla and tropical. For a cali pinot, it was very balanced and precise without any overwhelming oak or fruit. Probably the most burgundian chardonnay I had from US. It drank like a ripe vintage PM 1er cru.

Tremendous wine even at 13 years. Plenty of sediment to attest to this. At open it had an aromatic nose of roses and peaches. The flavors were a little closed so I set aside for a couple of hours. Began to open up and first flavors were apple and limestone dust. Fabulous mineral mouth feel. Fairly long finish.

Mark Aubert is consistently making the finest expression of chardonnay in California. This wine continues to deliver as well as most Grand Cru Burgundies...

So refined like a Grand Cru burgundy, which I am sure it would be identified as in a blind tasting; so sophisticated and balanced with delicate fruit. I love the way Aubert wines can age so gracefully.

(Aubert Chardonnay Lauren Estate Vineyard) Light golden yellow color; nice, tart lemon and mellow oak nose; tasty, rich, buttery palate with lemon butter; medium and slightly hot finish

The best chardonnay I have found. The 03 was very refined. White burgundy taste and impact competitive with the French
