Best bottle of this wine to date. It is slightly more polished than then Burgaud, but there is good, dark fruit combined with notes of olives, broth, smoke and a hint of milk chocolate (which I don’t like in my Cote-Rotie). It has certainly come around in the past 10 years and is ready to drink now.

On its way out, if it was ever in. Plum in color showing no sign of maturity. Initial funk on the nose which evolved to cherry and earth. Palate of blackberry, brambles, pepper and earth with fruit quickly fading.

Soft red fruits, earth on nose. Light to mid weight palate, quite Burgundian in weight. Quite simple but no worst for that. Tannins are soft and the finish is a bit short. If you have some I would drink up. It doesn't have the structure for much further ageing.

Tried to let this open up for many hours, but still questionable. Last of our engagement wines. Smoke. Bacon. Oh, well.

Fully mature, resolved tannins, nice fresh acids, dark fruit with lots of bacon. Drink up (and enjoy). B+/B
