Very rich wine, with prominant notes of blackberry liquor. Too rich for many apparently...the 2006 Groth cab that was served along side at a family dinner disappeared before the end of the evening, while almost a half bottle of this remained. Not my favorite style of cab, but I can still find plenty to appreciate about it.

Luis Wins CEO Aware (St. Genevieve): Slight mint. A bit of hint. Chocolate, rich ripe fruit. This is a dark brooding napa cocktail wine. It would benefit from serving at 55F.

A Mix of Older Napa Among Others (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Very dark red/purple color. Big and juicy, eucalyptus, ripe black fruits, plenty of alcohol on the nose. The palate is an elixir of blackberry compote, black cherry liqueur, more alcohol, blackberry liqueur, vanilla, and wood. This screamed out for some food as we waited between courses. Still, i have a hard time when there is so much heat.

Much more jammy than the last time I tasted. Big and bold without as much refinement as I had remembered before.
