Deep blackish garnet color; a little citrus oil at first followed by waves of dark red fruit and classic burg "shoe polish", a little poopy, rich and balanced. Quite tasty but lacking a bit of "heft" for its neighborhood and classification. Excellent nonetheless.

Still plenty of tannin but not a lot of fruit. I will not open another for at least a year. I hope some secondary complexity shows up. Not as good as I had hoped but not flawed.
