A small glass of heaven in the bottle. Wonderfully expressive, mellow, persistent, the flavors grow and grow with different waves of tropical fruits, stones, hazelnut, acids, peaches, melon all playing out in harmony. One of my favorite DuMol bottlings in recent years.

Summer flowers to start. Fully mature aromas and flavors show ripe stone fruit with lots of butterscotch, then hints of papaya, vanilla. Sweet spice accentuates the richness, but there's enough acidity to maintain freshness, even with the touch of heat at the end. I recall liking this more at release, but it's still drinking nicely. Held up persistently through the evening until finished - three hours after opening.

Robust cali chard will fresh acidity. Buttered popcorn that is buffered nicely by floral and pineapple notes. Not much life left. Drink now.

Clearly tired and past its peak, unlike another bottle from a few weeks ago. Bought from DuMOL at release, stored properly since.
