  Had with Easter dinner casual mini meatloaf, potatoes and corn. A little rough at the open decent in the middle and ended with sediment. The 2000 we drank recently was better.

  Very impressive for the age - this has a great core of fruit still but has the lovely developed smoke and meatiness of fine Syrah; tannins fully resolved, perfectly delicious. We didn't decant (though there was a fine sediment) and the wine was still opening up as we finished the last glass.

  Still very good but likely not a lot of time left. Soft tannins and stone fruits
