  • When PnP, the aromas and flavours are not that expressive.

After 30 minutes of aeration, wonderful layers of pear, nectarine, lime, white flowers and wet stones notes keep coming through. Very faint hint of petrol. Good complexity of flavours. Very good flavour intensity with nothing in excess. Very well balanced.

  • I would like to have kept this for a few more years but opened it as I had noticed the bottle had begun to leak. Happily though the wine was not defective. Still very pale, nose exhibiting typical lime citrus riesling aromas, not yet showing any significant development; possibly a bit closed at the moment. The palate though is ripe and peachy with that searing chalky acidity that you get with this particular style (grosses gewaechs). Muscular.

  • Appearance: Pale yellow
Aroma: Fruity nose with goosberry and apples, with some minerality
Good body. Very good sugar acidity balance. Sweetish sensation on the palate with a touch of minerality
    Very good length

(Reinhold Haart Goldtropfchen Grosses Gewachs) Tropical, mineral and ripeness right off the bat from this nose. Even a hint of creaminess. Even in a dry iteration Goldtropfchen does not shy from its exoticism. The palate is tactile and grippy with fresh prune flavors and juicy minerality. Seems very earthy and soil-driven. Great opulent mouthfeel and just great length. I really liked this.
