Pinotage has softened. Full mouth feel. Soft tannins. Definitely needs to be paired with food that is acidic. Need to drink any others that may still be in my cellar.

Still drinking very nicely. Needs more than an hour to open. South African terroir is noticeable. Soft tannins and full bodied. The Pinotage is blended well with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Weekly tasting group #144; A fully blind test. (@ The factory by MN): Just read my TN from 2010 and the wine definitely has improved. My blind note of today: Clear blood red. In the bouquet red and dark berry fruits, some minerals and smoke. On the palate mainly juicy red fruits, sweet spices and some smoke. Ok acidity and round tannin with a pleasant bite. Completely ready now and no real hurry.

Old tasting note. A lot of cassis. Smoke, too.
