  • In the nose dried black olives, dark fruits, bitumen, and smoked ham. On the palate strong but balanced tannins and good acid, dark fruits, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Aromas kept changing in the glass over a period of hours - very interesting. Long nice finish.

  • I tasted this wine at the cellar and was impressed not 3 months ago so what a disappointment during this recent encounter. Initially, after being briefly decanted the wine was tanic and the acid completely out of balance with very faint fruit. It improved in the glass but never became any more than mediocre. Maybe the airplane travel time was to blame.

  • Ok, so I was only 16 when these grapes were harvested. That's so weird to think about. This is still young and fresh tasting with lots of perfumed floral notes and spice on the nose. The fruit is subduded on the pallet, but it's still tannic. Quite good, the secondary bottle age flavors are dominate. This is a lovely Pinot that is ready to drink now
