Consumed from a 375 ml. This is a special bottling made exclusively for the French Laundry restaurant. A riper style for an Oregon Pinot - but it grew on me quickly. Nice sweeter style but still great precision, focus and balance like the best from the state. More candied dark raspberry and blacker cherries, damp earth. Green mossy streak on the mid attack. Finish is clean. The finish leaves a nutty, buttery caramel toffee flavor that leaves me wanting another sip. This style is eccentric and that's why I'm in. Great wine. I'm lucky to be able to try this wine. May never come across another bottle.

it pours with a medium body and an immediate outpouring of rich, deep, fruit. The wine smells of distant strawberries and mint. It enters with a deep rich binding body. Smooth and textured throughout, rich solid effort.

Notes from day 2. Dark red to purple in color. Nose of dark fruit, a little dried fruit, a little tree bark. Palate of dark and dried fruit on the palate, a little earth, more bark, spice/heat on tail. The finish was average in length but there is some bitterness toward the end and the heat spikes as it gets to room temps. Overall the wine was a little much at this point and didn't seemed too integrated at this point as the oak stuck out. Drink or hold?: 50+5+10+14+5

Fruit flavors are a little bit stewed, but this hasn't been cellared optimally. Good depth and complexity overall. Drank from 375ml.
