Try to show everything in the best possible light! Poured in Riedel Vinum Pinot Noir glasses, 15 minutes before pairing with sauteed/baked Salmon with spicy tomato vinaigrette. A medium+ star bright ruby in the glass, the admittedly modest nose is of pomegranate, cranberry, touch of candied cherry, stems and citrus (maybe orange peel). The palate follows the nose, with a 15-second finish, and no off tastes, with decent concentration and intensity. Perfectly fine, and the equal of a 3-4-time more expensive Jadot Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which I've also had a lot of. This bottle featured the "Gold Medal 2012 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition" label. Outstanding QPR if you let this particular bottling breathe for just a little bit!

Smoked ham on the nose especially right after opening. Also floral with some fruit and spice. Fruit and spice on the palate as well. Becomes tart and sour after breathing for awhile. Light bodied with mild tannins. Not bad for $5.
