  • This bottle is on the downhill slope, but it still showed well albeit muted on the fruit side of things. On the blacker, truffle, earthy side of Napa Valley at 20.5 years old. Still tasty but needs a sediment decant. Threw a bunch of that fun stuff. Excellent with our double wagyu chesseburgers. Drink up.

  • Decanted for 90 minutes and paired with grilled porterhouse. Hints of Oak with dried fruit. Must have been an incredible wine it's time. Has become more refined with time, a really good wine. I would highly recommend drinking as this is winding down.

  • Our last. Bumped up two points from our 2013 note. Beast of a wine. Paired perfectly with smoked turkey. No flaws. Mild sediment. Moderate rim variation. Beautiful dark garnet color. Soft nose of dark florals and fruits. Low tannin/acid. Medium alcohol/medium finish. Likely approaching the end of its drinking window. But, stands with pride! A beautiful experience.

  • The nose on this was worth the entire experience. Bright cherries dominated the nose. On the palate, this was drinking very nice. Very bright red fruits with a nice finish, with not a whole lot of tannins remaining. I would say this is as best this is going to get and you should drink up if you have some.

  • Paired beautifully with grilled filet mignon, salad, and skillet grilled potatoes. Continued with dark chocolate dessert. Dark garnet color. No flaws. Mild rim variation in the glass. Mild sediment. Complex, old world, dark fruit nose. Very smooth taste. No tannin. Low alcohol. Medium finish. Perfectly drinkable. Plenty of bottle life left.
