We drank it casually with steak, very easy to open now, very good aroma, soft, but with structure, black fruit. L liked it very much. It's time to drink well.

The Super Glass Bowl (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red color with a 4mm transition to clear. PNP, drank a glass plus over 2 hours. A blend of 55% Cab, 40% Merlot and 5% Syrah. The nose just wafts up at you on pouring, very aromatic, cedar box, menthol, creme de cassis, perfumed, rock and charcoal. The palate is wonderful too; juicy blackberry, huckleberry, boysenberry, menthol, red cherry, damp earth with deep minerality and crushed rocks, dried wood, charcoal and some still somewhat firm tannins that despite the age gives this a youthful feel.

(SAFFREDI) 2006 Saffredi Dear Friends, I've had this wine four times since release and it reminds me more and more of a deeper version of the 1990 Saffredi. Any way you slice it, this is one of the finest wines produced in this venerable Tuscan vintage. A standout that should prove to be highly collectable in time (especially in large format): This parcel has just arrived with perfect provenance (there are no 750mls, only large format): 2006 Le Pupille "Saffredi" (Maremma) 1.5lt 2006 Le Pupille "Saffredi" (Maremma) 3.0lt Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy2981 Italy2982

Lovely wine. Dark color, beautiful aroma. Well integrated flavors with soft tannins. Did not taste old at all, but clearly a mature wine.

Last bottle of this, nd thankfully, this showed more youthful than my previous bottles. A nice send off for this wine
