Tasted by cobbpa on 2/15/2010 & rated 85 points: Better after 30+ minutes of air. Nose of dark berry fruits & a little dark cherry. Tastes of those dark berries and delivers a very smooth mouthfeel. Finishes with a hint of sweet oak, dark blue/black berries, slight but present structure, and almost medium length. Great body, lots of wine for the price. 85-86 (1205 views)
Tasted by Bicycler52 on 2/12/2010 & rated 87 points: great every day drinking wine. Great value! (1252 views)
Tasted by Quarked on 2/12/2010 & rated 88 points: My score is slightly upgraded because I only spent $5 for this wine at Sam's Club. But it was a real surprise. Clean fruits, smooth drinking. A nice and simple everyday wine. (1228 views)
Tasted by VinoMax on 1/29/2010 & rated 87 points: Good value, solid structure, fruit and balance (983 views)
Tasted by Currywm on 1/26/2010 & rated 89 points: Totally surprised, will certainly go back for more at this price. (1435 views)

Tasted by dwaynelm on 12/14/2009 & rated 84 points: No flaws, not very complex, simple cherry flavor with moderate acidity & tannin. (1716 views)

Tasted by Texas Pete on 11/10/2009 & rated 86 points: Better than expected. (2016 views)
Tasted by Desert Boy on 11/8/2009 & rated 86 points: (1648 views)
Tasted by lacroix on 11/6/2009 & rated 86 points: Much more balance after resting for a couple months. The oak was not nearly as heavy and while this might not be the most complex wine, it is very good for the price. (1944 views)
Tasted by Louisiana George on 10/18/2009 & rated 87 points: good house wine, enjoyed the california cab franc flavors which always exhibit more more fruit than traditional french cab franc. medium body and finish. (2137 views)
Tasted by JimKay on 10/15/2009 & rated 88 points: Decanted. Nice dark color, nose is muted red cherry. Smooth palate, minimal tannin, but good acidity (quite good for a wine that is priced at the juice-box-wine level) with more red fruit on the palate. This is largely Cab franc and so I'd compare it to a Loire red: fruit and acidity without the vegetal aspect of most years. Definitely outperforms it's modest price. A Sam's Club exclusive, but remember - you don't need a membership to buy wine at Sam's. (2159 views)

"Meritage" wines are considered by many to be among our best efforts. The art of blending allows us the flexibility to make perfectly-balanced, hand-crafted wines. With a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot from the acclaimed California Central Coast region, Lot 150 is no exception. Simply put it drinks stunning right out of the bottle.

California Wines (Wine Institute of California)

California is one of the most diverse wine regions in the world, with almost 100 grape varieties grown in over 100 viticultural areas, including dozens of different microclimates and soil types, as well as a very individualistic set of winemakers, many with international experience, which adds to and deepens that diversity.
