  • Just perfect. Round, supple, deep, responsive to our food Seems like the perfect window. Generous flavors but not robust, just wonderful mouthfull after mouthful.

  • Nose > Rich & savory. Menthol, tomato/roasted tomato, cherry stone, spearmint, smoky red cherry & choke cherry.
Secondary & tertiary fruit/development has overtaken the primary fruit.
Palate > Savory, with slightly autumnal red/choke cherry fruit melded with flowers & spice.
Dried rose, red & choke cherry. Tons of spice; lavender & potpourri.
Still some slightly grippy, attenuated tannins in finish, surprisingly.
    Med+ acidity. Excellent balance.
    Great food wine.
Others liked this better than I, the Where's The (Primary) Fruit guy.
I certainly would have liked this even more younger, when more primary fruit was in the mix, & even dominant.

  • The nose was seductive, a mix of spice box with dusty sweet flowers, cedar dust, dried black cherry and crushed stone. On the palate, its youthful tannins have taken a back seat to a display of silky textures giving way to red and black berry fruits, tart cherry, bitter herbs and minerals with zesty acids that made the mouth water for another sip. The finish was long, alluringly dark, energetically enticing and spicy, as dried black cherry slowly faded and a bitter twang of wild herbs remained. I love it, and only sad that there are just a few bottles left to my case.

  • Still young and needs at least 30 minutes of air before showing the depth of the fruit that is hiding inside. Initially thought of as an off bottle, but improved tremendously throughout the evening.
