  • Equal parts of Estate and DuBrul Vineyard fruit.
Decanted, leaving moderate sediment in the bottle. Opaque and dark blood red with purple hues and glass staining legs with minimal variation on the rim.
Aromas show concentrated aromas of aged meats, lavender, potpourri, cinnamon, and cardamom with blueberry compote, huckleberry, blackberry, plum with traces of cotton candy, shisha smoke and rendered bacon fat.
Still showing density and extraction on the palate. The moderate tannins are easy while the acidity and alcohol levels both match. Flavors are bold showing notes of blueberry, huckleberry, blackberry and plum that well integrated with dry aged and smoked meats, rendered bacon, violets and lavender, shisha smoke, baking spices, spun sugar and toasty oak. The finish lingers with weight and concentration.

Overall still going strong. An excellent representation of Syrah.

  • Superb! Well balanced.PnP, great right out of the bottled. Classic Washington Syrah. Did not last until day two.

  • Solid if a little underwhelming Yakima Valley Syrah. I was hoping for a little more structure but it seems this is staring to fade a bit. On day 2 the wine had definitely broken down. Still, as a pop n'pour Syrah you could do alot worse. If you have any I wouldn't wait any longer to enjoy it.

  • Gorgeous wine. Nose is violet, potpouri, earth, bacon, blackberry. Palate is spice, blackberry, seamless front to back. No uneven edges.

  • I'm going to stick with my previous rating but in a fit of comedy I change my notes on the nose to "Play-doh". I can't shake it but this wine smells just like Play-doh to me.
