Big, spicy, fruity very ripe (maybe even tending to overripe) zin. Almost had a syrupy flavour to it. I liked this much more in the tasting room, or perhaps this was not one of the ones we tasted but since I got it on sale I figured I'd take a shot. This is the big new style RRV zin, not the restrained and elegant style I'm liking more. A big plus, though, it's not alcohol laden or hot in any way, making this one of the better renditions of this style.
Decanted and drank immediately. Color garnet. Nose of red fruit, some aroma's of vanilla and oak. Palate is medium bodied more like a pinot than a Zin. Soft spiciness with pleasing tingly finish. Easy drinking and enjoyable. Would definitely buy this again especially for $10. 50,5,12,14,5=86
