A little herbal to start, but after 3 hr decant wine was great! Smooth long finish with lots of finesse. The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom, forest floor, coffee and tea. It tastes like black currant (cassis), blackberry, plum and dust. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
Beautiful nose. Cherries, earth, flowers a bit of licorice underneath. Mature tannins. Great stuff. But did not seem very Margaux-ish.Should remain at this fine drinking level for at least another five years. Enjoyed at Gotham Bar and Grill.
Burdigala - this is simply a lovely Margaux that is fairly mature but quite fresh with notes of dark red berries, tobacco and sweet earth. Finishes smooth and complex. This is very drinkable juice and held its owen tonight in some tough company.
