unlike 2007 and 2009 drank recently (and likely from same source), this still had life. no formal notes but had nice baking spice (cinnamon in particular) aromas, with pleasant overall experience. drink ASAP.

Bright ruby, barely orange rim. Medium nose of ripe raspberries and plums with a tiny bit of leather. The palate starts off very tangy, then rounds to darker fruit, with no taste of wood. The finish is brisk but pretty full for gamay, I think showing maturity. Doesn't particularly taste of pinot noir, but has a similar texture.

From memory. We had 2 of these with Seder, and they were exemplary cru Beaujolais, fleshy gamay, mature but still fresh and refreshing, adaptable and tasty.

This is still going strong it doesn’t taste old at all. Not much fruit, but good acid, wonderful balance all give it a nice freshness.

Brought to a campfire hot dog roast on a very warm summer evening and this wine was singing. Served chilled.
