  • Intense red bordeaux color with a little brick rim.
Ont he nose is complex;leather and heart and some unusual
Farm hint. On the palate is warm yet rounf and fully ready to be drunk. Decanted for just 1 hour in the bottle. Paired with a 1.2 kg fiorentina steak. To be drunk now or in 3 years time max.

  • cassis, flower, toffee, a bit sugar cane. on palate there're even more with a bit leather, licorice, very good structure, finish long and a little heavy. a wine of true depths.

note this wine takes time. we opened in the morning and serve at dinner. And the 2nd day it's still good. I think it'll get even better in two years.

  • bought several bottles of this wine 3 years ago because it was highly rated by RP and was going off at a good price. Tried one or two bottles probably 2 years ago and wasn't impressed. But the wine is getting better. I was pleasantly surprised at how it has evolved. Passive decant for 3 hours. Was just as good or better the second day.

  • Decanted 3 hours. When poured into decanter i was pretty excited, def rustic dark red fruit along with some great olive notes. But, upon pouring the first glass it had some clear cork taint. Drinkable but quite bummed as I had high hopes. Persistent, somewhat rough, tannin.

  • This wine is so close to fascinating, but it falls short right now, and the question is whether that is due to being opened too early or simply to havingmissed the mark. Deep and dark when poured, the wine gave little on first night. The next evening, there was more fruit on the nose, but it was still very restrained. It never opened on the palate, showing muted notes of dark cherries, licorice and tobacco, but no "oomph" and too much heat on the finish. To be revisited in 2+ years, but I am a bit concerned.
