Pnp. Yum. My kind of wine. Fruit is starting to fade but other flavors are picking up. It faded fast, though. Otherwise a higher score

Inky purple center with purple rim. The nose provides earthy barnyard, plum, and violets. On the palate, there is plum, barnyard, and a touch of bitterness. This medium-bodied wine has balanced acidity and softened tannins. Overall, this paired well with spicy black bean soup and was better with food than it was alone. The soup matched earthy with earthy and brought forth the fruit aspects of this wine. think this was much better than anticipated and represents an excellent value for the $16 I paid.

At peak, with nice ripe raspberry and dark cherry notes, good acidity and some subtle herbal notes and a long finish. Good value at $15.
