good acidity, some complexity, but tasted a little pruney and had a little barnyard funk. Reminded me of some Bordeaux that I have had. I think the wine is past its prime and would have been better a couple of years ago. With all that being said, still it wasn't bad.

(Provenance Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-a little tight; a little cranberry component that I like and a little Crème on the nose; PALATE-textbook black cherry and blueberry flavors -- a mix of red and dark fruit that I like; good tannins; a little heat coming through; good structure; a solid $25-$30 Cabernet; doesn't have the mouthfeel excitement of the Chateau St. Jean and a hair more disjointed as well; the mid-palate transition to the finish misses a beat; good wine; solid Cabernet; WN-90; GV-88+
