Classic pinot red. Nose of sweet fruits, cherries. A lovely wine -- starts with plums and currants and ends with a little bite of green grapes. Finish lasts a good 30 seconds. Still some tannins, though not a complex structure. Drinking well. Perennial is a great price-to-value wine.

Anita: In your face 1st impression--very up front ripe red fruit w/pinot-like sweet spice and ginger; silky elegant mouth with again red frt prevalent, but lots of cinamon-like sweet oak. Good tart red frt t’s, med. long fin. But...very intense tasting red, over-powering sweet and spicey element, and perhaps too much sweet oak. Not right w/swt & sr pork loin & butter lemon asparagus. Hi class, but too intense.

The oak is now much more prominant on the nose and palate. after an hour or so, the fruit did show through. A very unusual and enjoyable wine, i woud buy more.

Anita: W/Maria’s pizza...mmmmm; int. nose of wet musky leather, blackberry, and a bit of blueberry; bright still, baking spices--very yummy with a lotta class still; Lighter bod, almost effervescent in mouth--really dances on tongue, plenty of a’s to go around. Med. fin.

Excellent bottle with Val & Martin.-- fully developed, shows much terroir. A characteristic FLowers offering.
