  • Decanted 3 hours. Dark dark purple. Aromas of blackberries, vanilla, cherries, creamsicle, wet wood, open field. Flavors include blackberry pie, smoke, spice. Medium finish, blackberry and pencil graphite. Tannic. Still showing signs of going for a few more years, though I have no more.

  • Deep, dark, purple in the glass this Petite Sirah showed rich blackberry, blueberry, anise and spice aromas on the nose. The palate is full bodied with plum and dark cherry fruit. The mid-palate gets savoury with white pepper and cigar smoke character. On the finish I found chewy tannins and good acidity.

  • Purple violet inky concentration, opaque. Aromas of ripe blackberry and black currants vanilla. Palate is fruity with a medium body and medium tannins that are fairly smooth. Caramel cream in the finish with a hint of mild smokey tannin at the end. Enough acidity to brighten the palate some which completes the package.
