This had a very expressive nose tonight with the aromas of rich, earthy, dark red fruit, sous bous and bright floral notes, all of which carried thru to the penetrating, fairly rustic and masculine palate. To my tastes this was drinking very well tonight very soon after opening and is in a very good place right now. That being said, I think this has a very long life ahead of it.

This is still abit on the rustic side with lots of dark, earthy, red fruit, an abundance of Asian spice and some greenish, chalky, tannins on the longish finish. All in all, quite nice and drinking well with an hour or so of air.

Chicago Wine Flock...Bill Having Fun with Flights (Wilmette, IL): Tasted double blind. Black and red cherry with savory spice, coming across as nicely fresh, still nicely fresh. Moderate structure and nicely balanced. Moderate weight and length. There is no hurry to drink up, but I doubt this will get better.

Quite nice tonight! This has softened quite abit in the 2 years since I last tasted it, but still retains a fairly masculine edge. There's lots of, penetrating dark fruit, sous bois, abundant minerality and firmish tannins on the long finish. This needed several hours of air to open.

Good, tad too acidic. My guess a few more years as it’s in shut down stage.
