Bottle in great condition, filled into the neck, cork intact. Medium garnet colour. Black currant, cherry, plum, light bell pepper, earth, tobacco, cedar and spices, with fully resolved tannin and good length. Upon opening, the acidity is very pronounced and the wine seems to be falling apart, but it pulls itself together and finds its balance with half an hour in a small decanter. Mature, medium-bodied, medium-complex, with average to good concentration. A few years past its peak, but still drinking well. Drink up.

Considering the age and the vintage, not so bad if you seeking an anniversary or birthday wine. Old-school in style, with more secondary notes of tobacco leaf, cedar chest, forest floor, peppery herbs and bright, crisp, crunchy red currants. Rustic, but charming, there is no reason for further aging.

Definitely off its peak Nose : lots of tertiary aromas of tea leafs, fig, wet florest floor, mushroom and ripe plum Palate: smooth, all acidity and tannin well integrated. The taste are still holding there but the finish is relatively short.
Afterall. Well done and thanks for letting me taste u.

Opened for thirty minutes then put in decanter to remove the sediment. Beautiful wine that’s probably a little over the hill. Green bell pepper finish with currants and cedar notes. Each mouthful a bit different than the last and still fairly complex.
