  • This truly is a great Comte Lafon Perrieres. My experience across several vintages is that Quality is not 100% consistent but the 2008 vintage unquestionably stands out as a superb Meursault. It epitomizes the quality of Meursault, at the pinacle of meursault, rich, deep and broad while sophisticated and highly pleasing to the palet. This wine is a feast of sorts, a celebration with loved ones on a meadow in summer, sharing the very best life has to offer.

  • Non-blinded. Golden-yellow in appearance, sign of a bit of age/development. Nose was nutty (but not much of that oxidative tone). With air, this exploded with tropical orchard fruit, stones, flowers & even bits of honey. Great mouthfeel with an oily texture & searing intensity, providing an immediate wow, linear punch. Fresh, chalky & long finish. This was wonderful as the starting wine for our lunch!

  • Two bottles of these stony, purchased on release, great whites opened same evening. Light yellow with brushed cold granite tabletop nose, consistent and expected as a Perrières when compared to other Meursaults the same evening (Genevrieres).Intense stone fruits on the powerful well balanced palate and finishing with a tap of smoke and citrus. A top drawer white burg that will go the distance. Wow! Best now to 2034

  • Served blind, the quality and pedigree were obvious. Such a complete wine, a textbook Perrieres. The color was dark but the wine was fresh with a very long and appealing finish. One taster was put off by tropical notes, I didn't find that it deterred from the experience. For me this was not only the white wine of the day, but best wine of the day full stop.

  • M&M lunch at Summer Pavilion. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of chalky rocky stony minerality, deep honeyed nuts, deep citrus lemon. Developed.
On the palate, dry, rounded high acidity, mdium+ alcohol (14%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity. Has a sweet oiliness with rounded feel to it. Balanced off with chalky minerality and rocky stones and deep citrus lemon fruit. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Was wowed really very good. Drinking in good place for me already.
