Crisp and lean, with a hint of creaminess. Lots going on: lemon curd, peach pit, hazelnut, and grapefruit. Good length and impeccably balanced. Just missing that extra something special.

Mid straw with a light yellow core. Distinct mineral/flint on the nose with chalk, green apple skins, apple blossom, lemon, savoury, oak spice, oatmeal. The palate has a striking, steely acidity that exhibits youthful freshness, subtlety yet an intriguing complexity as oat flakes and bran start to kick in., There is mid-palate richness, depth of fruit flavour and a pristine edge to the lemon-derived fruit. Although the oak is still not fully integrated (and perhaps a touch high) this is a classy wine that shows a very good concentration of flavour. Overall a lovely drying back palate, fine chalky textured, juicy apple skins, a linearity and yet with a slight breadth just reined in; lovely mouthcoating texture, savoury as you like, definitely chassagne but could be Puligny with its steely acidity if tasted blind

Took a while to open up, but decent if no fireworks. Quite austere style with lemon and chalk.
