  • Opened a 3 liter that I kept in my cellar. Cork was still moist and had no stamp. The color was light ruby. On the nose it was alcohol with hints of grass and minerals. No tannis... Light chalk with earthy soil minerals. A long finish but bitter. The was was ready to drink! It can maybe last one more year but that's it.. Drink now! Wesley

  • Good color, fading at the edge. The nose shows ripe dark berries, oak, damp earth, tobacco, brown sugar and a floral nuance. This is medium full bodied on the palate, with good concentration and decent finesse. The finish is somewhat short and a bit astringent, but the acidity is good. The tannins are a bit rustic as well.

  • Lovely, lovely wine. This is a "tinto fino," i.e., 100% Tempranillo. It may not be to everyone's taste, but it's the kind of thing I enjoy immensely. Dark, almost opaque, color. The nose is incredibly complex; the first thing I noticed was a mineral element, like wet gravel. There's also a bit of oak, licorice, old leather and just a trace of jammy fruit - a real treat for the nose. The tannins are pronounced, but already softening. Not overpowering on the palate, but certainly not lacking in either fruit or oak. Just very balanced and smooth, with an earthy finish. Entering its drinking window, but may improve over the next couple of years. Decant it, or give it an hour or two to breathe to bring out the fruit. Everything about this wine says "elegant and classy." One of the very best under $20 wines I've tasted this year. Highly recommended.

  • A softer version of a Ribera del Duero, this fully mature wine has pleasant fruit notes with a tinge of leather, cherries, and a cola tang. Medium bodied, with a very light touch of tannins on the smooth finish. Nice easy drinking red.

  • Very nice wine for the price point. Aromatically it is a very interesting temp; displays lots of blackberry, licorice, white flowers, black pepper and smokey oak. Medium bodied on the mouth with more classic tempranillo notes of leather and herbs framing a bit of crushed red and black fruit. Low acid.
