P&P, drunk over 2hrs. Previous bottle was very bretty, but this one was clean as a whistle. I wish I'd allowed it to oxygenate, but fear of bloom was the reason for the last-minute opening. Pale and slightly cloudy in the glass, the color of lightly-extracted orange tea with wide watery rims. Nose is piquant, floral and perfumed, a surprisingly mature bouquet of cherries, violets, a Pinot-esque spicyness, and forest floor carpeted with dry pine needles. Soft entry of faded fruit, rock dust, and spice with a lacy/carbonic midpalate that settles into a surprisingly dense extract and a persistent, pulsing finish with significant and slightly green tannin.

Pale and slightly cloudy color, looked and even had the aroma of lightly extracted Pinot. Tasted initially a bit thin and underwhelming, but after a couple of hours filled out very nicely. Cooler vintage character, but still very fruity and beautiful to drink now. Reminds me a bit of the Metras '07 Moulin-a-vent though not quite as mysterious.

Nice, but surprisingly fragile. Faded quickly. Clean, though.

Ripe but delineated, with minerals, iron and meat on a somewhat stern palate. Cool vintage characteristics.
