  • Spectacular. Last of 6 bottles, and the best yet (I saved the lightest colored one for last). No formal notes, but this was absolutely delicious with grilled white pepper and oregano glazed halibut. Beautiful balance between citrus fruit, hazelnut and subtley briney minerals. Not a hint of oxidation, even after two hours. Great winemaking for a basic villages chablis. Wow!

  • Pre the-Mox. Beautiful bright brass color. Extroverted caramel notes waft up upon opening. Good, rich attack of a wine beginning to go south, but which is still holding its own, by a fingernail. Adequate, though muted, yellow fruits - ripe lemons, starfruit, hints of unripe bananas, kumquats, with good structural acidity and noticeable, but not intrusive, wood. Secondary lanolin and hazelnuts. On its way down, and hints of maderization, but still quite good. Especially for 19 years at the villages level. Impressive actually, but drink up.
