This was not palatable upon opening, but two days after opening it was just fine from the bottle or through the vinturi. I wouldn't take the chance on cellaring this much longer.
So two days after opening the bottle, it's just average: the bouquet is harsh with alcohol smell. Pretty dry in the mouth with some plum and dark fruits. A nice dry finish with moderate pepper.

Decanted 2 hours, did not find the alcohol heat others mention. Not a particularly flavorful wine, but hints of blackberry and cherry. If you get it under 10 bucks, not a bad Tuesday wine.

Popped and decanted without aeration over a day. Deep purple-garnet color, nose of black licorice and processed tree rubber. Alcohol dominates the palate still; young yes, poorly balanced, more so. Palate was unremarkable and finish was long on alcohol and short on fruit.

A nice surprise for a pretty basic wine, nice fruitiness. A wine that put me in a better mood.

Appearance: Clear, medium+ intensity garnet, pale rim, legs.
Nose: Clean, moderately expressive dark fruit.
Palate: Dry, medium bodied, firm tannins, medium acidity, moderate alcohol, slight tartness on finish, plum, ripe blackberries, oak, dry earth.
Good quality. Can age.
